Call answering & reviews · Wolverhampton
You were under a boiler. He rang someone else.
Deskside answers the calls your engineers can't get to, takes the job properly — name, mobile, postcode, what's wrong and has it on your phone in thirty seconds. Then it asks every customer for the Google review you never get round to asking for.

The maths
What the missed ones are already costing you
Move the sliders to your own numbers. Most firms have never worked this out, which is exactly why it keeps happening.
Deliberately conservative. It counts nothing for the repeat work, the landlord contract, or the review that customer would have left you.
Deskside is £5,787 in year one. On your numbers that's 5.8× back — and it takes just 18 of those calls turning into work to cover it.
What you get
Two jobs nobody in a van has time for
Answered, not recorded
If you haven't picked up in twenty seconds, we do — in your company name. We work out whether it's an emergency, a booking, or a query about work you've already done, take the details properly, and text them straight to you.
- Evenings, weekends, and while your hands are full
- Name, mobile, full address, and what's actually wrong
- Books into your diary where you want it
- Emergencies and vulnerable customers flagged first
- Never quotes a price, never promises a time
Asked, every single time
You haven't got a reviews problem. You've got an asking problem. The job finishes, you tap the customer's number into one box, and the request goes out while you're still fresh in their mind.
- Sent within the hour, from the engineer's own name
- One reminder on day three, then it stops
- Straight to your Google form — no extra taps
- Every customer asked. No filtering, no incentives
- Replies drafted for you to approve in one tap
How it works
Nothing about your setup changes
Same number on the van, the website and your Google listing. We don't move it, port it or touch it. Your phone rings exactly as it does today.
Pick up and we never see the call. It only reaches us if you don't answer in twenty seconds, the line's engaged, or you've no signal.
Name, mobile, postcode and the problem, on your phone in thirty seconds, marked urgent when it needs to be. You decide what happens next.
Switching it on takes about a minute. Three short codes on your mobile turn on diversion for no answer, engaged and no signal — reversible any time with one more. We do it standing with you and test it before we leave your yard.
What it costs
One setup fee, then a flat monthly
No per-call charges, no per-minute meter, nothing unexpected on the invoice.
Built around your business — your services, your patch, your engineers' names, your diary. Tested with you before a single customer hears it.
Everything running and tuned weekly off your real calls. Three month minimum, then a month's notice whenever you want.
Less than one boiler install a year. Catch one job a month and it has already paid for itself twice over.
Straight answers
The questions we always get
Is it a person or a computer?
An automated call handler with a natural voice. If a caller asks outright, it says so. It never pretends to be one of your engineers, never quotes a price, and never promises a time — it takes the details and gets them to you.
What if I want to answer my own phone?
Then answer it. We only pick up when you don't. This is instead of voicemail, not instead of you.
Will my customers hate it?
Some people would rather speak to a person. But right now those same people are getting a voicemail beep and ringing the next firm on the list. A call that gets answered and booked beats one that doesn't.
Do you cold call people for me?
No. We only answer calls your customers make to you. Automated outbound marketing calls need explicit prior consent under UK rules — we don't offer them, and we'd be wary of anyone who does.
Do you filter out the bad reviews?
No, and nor should anyone. Screening out negative reviews and paying for positive ones have both been illegal since April 2025 under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act. Every customer gets the same request. We help you reply well to the occasional bad one instead.
What happens to my customers' data?
Caller details are processed only to pass them to you, under a written data processing agreement. You remain the data controller. Every call opens with a recording notice.
What if it doesn't work out?
Three months minimum, then a month's notice. Turn the diversion off with one code and everything is exactly as it was before.
Next step
Ring it and try to catch it out
That's the honest test. Ring the demo line, be awkward, ask it something daft, talk over it. If it handles you it'll handle your customers. Then we'll build one in your own company's name so you can hear exactly how it sounds answering your phone.
